Vivek is a seasoned business and operations professional. He provides strategic consulting services to corporates, specializing in business transformation and his current day job is Group CEO at a $100 Mn size, specialist Marine EPC Organization in India. He also consults/advises a few start-ups and other companies.

In his career of over 30 years, Vivek has held senior management positions in a number of leading organisations in India and overseas, most recently as Managing Director, India at LRN Corporation. Earlier, he was Vice President, Reliance Industries Limited, and before that Director, Business Development at NIIT (USA), Inc.

Vivek’s extensive consulting and management experience comes from, among other assignments, his entrepreneurial ventures in the 90s, during which he founded what was probably India's first internet start up (an internet technology training institute) back in 1997, and amongst other things also had a fully functional ecom portal (e-shopindia.com) up and running in 1999. This rich entrepreneur experience of over 10 years enabled him to understand ground realities of founding, growing and running a business successfully from scratch with limited resources. Vivek has independently managed large projects of over $50M.

 

Vivek's visionary interests lie in the areas of business transformation, design and innovation, enabling technologies, and management innovation. Vivek’s passion for meaningful cinema and music has drawn him to red river & blue hills.
